ok i arrived on this super cramped and sucky flight! i got such an awful headache i took 4 panadols and then the queue at the immigration was so loooong the cab/cab guy waited ages for me but thankfully he was really nice about it and didn't overcharge me that much unlike joyce's one! and the journey to pau's house was incredibly long due to the jam. i took almost 2h to reach and i kept fallin asleep despite him trying to make some small talk coz i was so tired. and i made pau late for sch :/ haha so after vegetating for most of the day on her very comfy sofa. we went out for dinner and after which i came home and crashed on the sofa again for the next 12h. haha.
then today a few of us medics went down to school to register which we realised was quite useless coz we alr registered online. then we ended up queueing uber long for the student oyster card. and there was this strange indoaustratian malaysian guy who kept following us around! later on, me and helena went down to hsbc to collect our debit cards and we waited for almost 2h to get it done. and the lady DESTROYED my cheque book!? coz she said she thought it was very long alr but helena's one was still in tack and she opened her account before me! omg. but at least she said they'll reprint mine and send it to me in 3 days or so. and we actually bumped into joan and tingjun on gloucester road! within seconds of each other walking in opp directions. haha.
i met pau afterwards at oxford road to walk a bit and chill at borders starbucks before we had dinner with her lse friend cheryl at this korean place.

i am so not used to waking up early. so this whole week of waking up early was quite a rude shock which i signed myself up quite a while ago and later regretted but decided to go ahead with it coz i dunno. i guess after everything it wasn't too bad. i did learn quite a bit and i bummed one less week. haha.
day one wasn't too interesting coz it was just talks the whole day.
a&e was by far the best coz at least there was stuff to watch! a whole lot of cardiac arrests and renal failtures etc. some really annoying patients like this one who even got out of his bed while waiting for the doctor to examine him to smoke?! and before that he fell from the second storey -_- not quite as interesting as grey's anatomy but still it was not too bad. altho we were mostly just taking up space coz we couldn't do much. and the doctor that we were shadowing appeared in mindyourbody the next day!
pharmacy was more interesting than i expected coz the pharmacist that i got was really nice and really tried to entertain me fully. i got to pack a set of medication despite taking like ten times longer than the rest but it was somewhat fulfilling finding the drugs among ten million others in the room and i got to dispense medicine to one patient. oh but one person died when i was in one of the wards :/
nursing was better than expected too coz we got specialised nurses who went to see patients and so we got much patient interaction today. like this old man who had renal failure so we talked to him for quite long while the nurse was changing his dressing for the tubes in his pancreas. and his birthday happened to be that day! so he was quite cheerful and insisted on giving us sweets. such a nice old man (:
we ended the week with radiology which was quite a disappointment coz they were busy and the radiologists weren't very helpful and we were so tempted to leave at lunch. the only interesting bit was when i was attached to this radiographer who was this old guy. old enough to retire. he was like working part time and he told me many interesting stories of his studies in uk. he was so enthu about the attachment thing that he insisted on taking me to the caferia for lunch even thou his job was done haha.
well, here's to a week ahead of bumming oooh yeah!

later on, i went out to use the toilet and came back in to sun with moon -_- haha. mel's last sunday so ekklesia met for dinner (:
very very tired and its an early morning for that sgh attachment tmr. ah.

as joyce aptly puts, uk bound was amusing somewhat. we (me stump joyce adeline wendy) started the night with dinner at cartel with my og and split after that to go to butter coz they wanted to walk there while we were too lazy and decided to take a cab there. but we spent like ten million years trying to get a cab and end up caling one instead -_- unfortunately we still reached there unfashionably early and the place was hardly packed. and coz we were rather bored, so we took a stroll down clarke quay to mos to check out the impressmu thing before heading back to find the pageant was over?! well the rest of the night was spent dancing away coz there wasn't much else to do. except drink. and i had some weird stuff other than this vodka lime coz william poured beer into this pineapple drink that nicholas offered me and later nicholas offered us some weird whisky thing which i ended up drinking out of the jug. by the time our ears got quit deaf, pengyu drove us to macs where we bumped into this lse bunch.
ohh and i don't think my eye candy was very cute tonight ):
i'm so tired i can't believe i agreed to work opening shift todayyyy :/ well i don't feel nice cancelling either coz i'm not working next week.
